Man.
In a game of wild chaos and mistakes, a world so affected by conflict between two metropolitan soccer teams balanced out to its natural ontological state. 2-2.
Note: Players rated with 6 being “average”, and <15 minutes not rated.
Starting XI:
Carlos Coronel
Greg - 6
Eric - 6.5
Made some good saves and neither goal were really his fault. Solid game from the always reliable Coronel
Dylan Nealis:
Greg - 7
Had Denis Bouanga completely locked up until about the last 15 minutes, but once again a bright spot in the defense, and looks to have the starting role firmly in his grasp
Eric- 7
He has taken his 1 year prove it contract and is setting himself up to get an extensions if he keeps playing this way. Week in week out he has been a consistent performer.
Noah Eile
Greg - 5
Had a rough night under the bright lights of BMO Stadium, struggling with the pace of LAFC’s attackers, but a young player of his quality will surely bounce back
Eric- 5
Eile passing was good again but defensively he struggled including not stepping up on LAFC tying goal. He has a habit to want to be on the goal line for clearances something Schwarz will have to coach out of him
Sean Nealis
Greg - 7
Eric 6.5
Penalty may have been soft but he gave it up on an otherwise solid night
John Tolkin
Greg - 6
Eric - 6
Frankie Amaya:
Greg - 7
Eric- 7
Once again a consistent display from Amaya. It’s nice that he has consistently becoming a 7/10 player
Daniel Edelman:
Greg - 6.5
Eric - 6.5
Back in the starting 11 Edelman was his usual solid self doing his a good job of controlling the tempo.
Wiki Carmona
Greg - 6
Eric - 6
A nice shot off a training ground corner aside a quiet night for Wiki
Emil Forsberg
Greg - 8
In open games like these Forsberg excels at taking on the mantle of being the main man, linking up well with Morgan in the early stages and being a reliable nexus in the middle of the park. A shame his goal couldn’t be a winner, but the Swede is growing into the leadership role that came with his resume.
Eric - 7
Lewis Morgan
Greg - 7
Eric -7
Morgan was active and a threat through out the game. Passed up a shot to feed Vanzeir which felt like a mistake at a time however the team scored on the corner right after so not too detrimental
Dante Vanzeir
Greg - 6
Eric - 6.5
Substitutes
Elias Manoel

Kyle Duncan

Dennis Gjengaar

Eric - 6.5
Was a vertical threat and had a nice cross to Morgan and Manoel that each could have resulted in goals
